Why Gas Prices Are So High?
Has anyone ever wondered why gas prices are always so high whenever they need to go and gill up their car. Well, I am nine-teen and I have had my licence now for four years and I am now seeing gas prices so high it is crazy. I wish all of the huricanes would just stop. I filled up my car for $3.59 on Friday night when I was going home and when I got home the gas prices had jumped up to $3.79, isn't that crazy. My parents are always talking about how gas prices were not this expensive when they were little and my dad said that when he was a student here at God's Bible School and College he drove home gas didn't cost much as all. Some people can hardly bare to pay that much for gas because the economy has dropped big time in the last couple of months. The world is going crazy because everything is so expensive these days.

I don't get the stupid gas prices either. I so remember when gas prices were like $0.99..crazy huh?
I think some people are just doing it to make money! If you would see some of the pictures from the Arab world and the palaces they are making over there would shock the pants off you!! :) I also can remember when our family bought gas for $0.99 too at K-Mart!
Well. . .I wouldn't complain dude. I live near the city of Cincinnati. And to be totally honest,$3.79 is nothing! In Fairfield, OH, which is the town near me, the priced went to over $5.00!! $3.79 for a gallon during a pretty nasty storm is nothing! Especially when you are sitting at home with 2 refridgerators, 2 freezers and an industrial sized freezer, a ranch style house, all having to be kept up by a small generator. Then, when it runs out, you have to go out in the middle of the night, in the pitch black dark and pour more gas in it. All of this gasoline being about $4.50 or more. Take $3.79 and gift wrap it for yourself becuase in highly populated states, like OHIO, in even suburban towns, there were cars, trucks, motorcycles, and everything that needed gas, even 5-6 5-gallon empty gas containers per pick-up truck. All of these backed up to about 20-35 car lines. Waiting to pour the liquid gold into their containers and tanks for fear that it was the end of the world.
Be happy that all you had to deal with was a measley $3.79. RIDICULOUS! Come to the city, the storm took out so much electricity that even the stars went out!
I am going to disagree with all of you. If you do some research you will find that our biggest supplier right now is Canada. Granted Saudi Arabia is our second biggest importer but our problem in the US isn't just high import prices. Right now our most pressing problem in the US is the lack of refineries. The total number of refineries supplying the US is a measly 149. What we need is more drilling of our own oil and the building of more refineries. Please don't blame the Arabs for the failing of our government, because if they wouldn't have listened to the environmentalists there wouldn't be a need for imported oil.
