Thanksgiving

When Thanksgiving comes most people can't wait for it because of the turkey and the dressing and somepeople love the yams. When Thanksgiving comes around I am so happy because we get to miss school and I also get to visit with all of my family who I haven't seen in ages because they don't live where I live. The morning of Thanksgiving my grandparents show up way before we are up so then we are rushing around and around to get ready because in the next couple of hours the rest of the Yaryan family will start to arrive. Then after we are ready and all of the family is there then my grandpa will carve the turkey. When it is time to eat my father always prays for the meal and then my mother will serve us the food and sometimes she just tells us to dig in and help ourselves. It is so exciting when all of the family is there because we get to hang out with them and hear interesting stories and play games witgh them. Then we go out as a family and go bowling and that is a tradition that we have not broken since we first started going bowling. Like I said in the beginning I Love Thanksgiving so much.

Home to College

Pulling onto campus I thought I was wondering if I was going to miss my old life or not. Then when it came time for my family to leave I was really sad because my parents pulled away in our van and then I realized that they had left and I wasn't with them. I then realized that I was alone and all by myself. When I was living at home I was having a blast and hanging out with my friends and then when I came to college I was stuck in the books and working all the time. Now when I go home I visit with my family and friends and I also get caught up with all of my sleep that I have lost when I was doing all of my homework here at college. On the weakened when i can't go home I make sure that I call my parents everyday so I can at least talk to them if I can't see them.

Cold

Most people are really excited when winter comes, but I am not because I always freeze to death. Some people like the cold because you get to dress up in nice worm clothes with warm boots that make you feel comfortable. For me I would prefer a skirt and a long-sleeve shirt and my flats. The cold hair is very comfortable for me and I always get sick from being out in the cold weather. The cold weather sometimes reminds me that Christmas is almost here and that makes me happy, I hope it makes other people feel happy to. There is another part of the cold that I like and that is the part of when it snows and we get to go sledding and have big snowball fights with my family. Also sometimes building snowmans with my cousins and brothers and sisters is really fun because after we build it we knock it down. Playing in the snow is alot of fun and I enjoy it.

Why do we need cars?

I have always wondered why do we need cars, are they really that important. Some people use a car to drive to somewhere far so they don't have to walk. I use my car when I go to work or when I need to go into Kentucky to the store and then to go home but that is the only time. Somepeople use their car like crazy and they want to drive everywhere they go even down the street they don't want to walk because they think that it is to far to go. People like that I think they are lazy because it it just down the street it wouldn't hurt them to walk and loose a couple of pounds now and then. I am not trying to be mean but our generation in the world today is the biggest and one of the heaviest generation because most of the people are overweight and they don't know how to loose. With the whole car situation we just need to give cars a break and use our feet God gave them to us for a reason and that reason is to walk. So we need to use God's gift that he gave us.

Why do we go shopping?

Shopping!!
I love to go shopping, but what is the point of it. Is it just to spend money or is it because you are bored and don't have anything else to do, but shop? Somepeople go shopping because they want something and somepeople go shopping because they need something right away. Also do somepeople go shopping to get things off their mind or do they go shopping because they just want to go and hang out with their friends. When you go shopping there are many places that you can go shopping like a grocery store or a fabric store or just a simple clothing store. Somepeople want to go shopping at WAL-MART, or the MALL, or they like to go shopping at thrift stores where they can get things pretty cheep like a GOOWILL. Sometimes when I go to the store I go just to relax because I am stressed so I need to go away and spend a lot of time doing it till the stress is all gone away.

What is the easiest way to loose weight?

It is hard sometimes to loose weight when all of he girls in your family are over weight and you feel wierd when you look and see that you are the skinniest one. It is really hard because when I see them it makes me want to be as big as them. My parents have told me that it is hard to loose weight when you are big so I have started dieting and n ow I am loosing weight every week and I am glad for that. So tips that I was told to loose weight are: stop drinking a lot of soda, stop pigging out when you are eating, stop eating alot of chocolate, and exercise. When you do these things it will help you loose weight and you wont be over weight. I am so happy that someone told me that because now that I am at college I don't want to be over weight even though sometimes it may be difficult I just have to stick with it and I know that God is always with me every step of the way.

Why Gas Prices Are So High?

Has anyone ever wondered why gas prices are always so high whenever they need to go and gill up their car. Well, I am nine-teen and I have had my licence now for four years and I am now seeing gas prices so high it is crazy. I wish all of the huricanes would just stop. I filled up my car for $3.59 on Friday night when I was going home and when I got home the gas prices had jumped up to $3.79, isn't that crazy. My parents are always talking about how gas prices were not this expensive when they were little and my dad said that when he was a student here at God's Bible School and College he drove home gas didn't cost much as all. Some people can hardly bare to pay that much for gas because the economy has dropped big time in the last couple of months. The world is going crazy because everything is so expensive these days.

Why are colleges so expensive?

When I went to pay my school bill it was crazy I have never seen a school bill so high. I had to pay a lot and since I am a freshman I am not use to bills that high. The hard thing is my family is not that rich like most of the students here and it is hard to come up with that amount of money is such a quick time. Since I am on the work study program it pays for part of my schooling but it doesn't pay for all of it and I just don't know what to do. There are seven people in my family and it is hard to pay for a family that is that big.

Why do big girls wear clothes that don't fit them?

Have you ever walked into a room and you see a person who is wearing clothes that don't fit them in anyway. Does it ever make you feel uncomfortable when you see them? In my opinion it bothers me a lot to see big girls with tight clothes. There is also the other side where skinny girls are wearing big clothes that are twenty sizes to big. This isn't attractive on either side. On the guys side there are men who wear clothes that are to big and it makes them look like they are from the ghetto. On the otherside skinny jeans can be unattractive. In the Bible God says to clothe yourselves to be ready for the Lord and it also says to clothe yourselves righteously and God only looks at the inter-apperance then the outer-apperance. In other words wear clothes that are not to tight and not to loose but fit just right.
